The largest Esports league in Luxembourg is back in early 2024 with the League of Legends qualifiers! Yes, you read that right, League of Legends is making a grand return to the league after two years of absence. However, this is far from being the only exciting development we have in store for this season! On the agenda, the introduction of Valorant to PEM, the implementation of two divisions per championship, and streams twice a week!
A TRANSFORMED LINEUP
It’s impossible to overlook the most radical change this year: the list of games offered in 2024. In order to support the development of esports structures in Luxembourg, we have decided to focus on team-based games, fostering the creation of teams, fans, and collective enthusiasm.
With the return of League of Legends and the introduction of Valorant, two games will no longer be offered in championship format: Clash Royale and FIFA, renamed EA Sport FC. As for Rocket League, it remains on the schedule, much to the delight of the Luxembourgish community!
The total Cash Prize remains at a total amount of €20,000, distributed as follows:
- League of Legends – €7,500
- Valorant – €7,500
- Rocket League – €5,000
TWO DIVISIONS PER CHAMPIONSHIP
For the first time in the history of POST Esports Masters, competitions will be divided into two levels per championship. The benefits for players are numerous:
- Allowing more players/teams to join the competition.
- Ensuring a homogeneous level in Division 1.
- Giving importance to each position in the ranking through a promotion/relegation system.
- Ensuring continuity between Season 5 (2024) and Season 6 (2025).
For League of Legends and Valorant, divisions 1 and 2 will each consist of 6 teams. For Rocket League, each division will host 8 teams.
LIVE STREAMS TWICE A WEEK
You’re not dreaming, there will indeed be two live streams per week! Until now, we offered you one live stream every Saturday during championship periods. From now on, streams will take place every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 19:00.
The best part? Doubling the number of broadcasts will allow us to broadcast 100% of the matches from Division 1! As a supporter, you can therefore watch all the matches of your favorite team live on Twitch. And as a bonus, all matches will be available on demand on our YouTube channel.
COMMUNITY AT THE HEART OF PEM
All the changes made for this new season have a common goal: to put you at the center of POST Esports Masters!
PEM’s mission is to democratize esports in Luxembourg and help the gamer community grow and professionalize. Every decision made by the league’s organization aligns with this goal.
Transparency and closeness to the community are our priorities, which is why we are eager to seek your input when important decisions need to be made for the league’s future. We regularly gather your opinions through surveys on Twitter, Instagram, and even directly through our Community Discord server.
One thing is for sure: we can’t wait to start this Season 5! We are confident that you will love these changes and enjoy the PEM experience even more in 2024! This is certainly our dearest wish!
