Season 6 of the POP Esports Masters came to a close this weekend during the PEM Gaming Festival, with a League of Legends grand final that lived up to the hype. And just like last year, it was Royal Family who lifted the trophy after a dominant victory over Snooze Esports.
After their 2024 championship, Royal Family returned this season with an almost entirely new lineup — only captain Mahfaeraak remained. The Luxembourgish support built a powerful new squad around him, featuring experienced players from the Benelux circuit:
- TOP Zorac
- JGL Mahfaeraak
- MID Water
- ADC Dimeh
- SUP Drawleks
The season started with a shaky loss to RelyOn Esports, but the team quickly found its rhythm: seven straight wins, a 1st place finish in the regular season… and a perfectly executed grand final to cap it all off.
And as if the title wasn’t enough, Zorac (TOP) puts the finishing touch by being crowned MVP of the season. Royal Family takes it all!
A Derby That’s Becoming a Classic
Their opponents, Snooze Esports, once again proved they’re a team to watch. Finalists for the second year in a row, teammates Rakusi and Tim Shady put up a strong fight, but couldn’t shift the momentum against a confident Royal Family.
This all-Luxembourg showdown further cements the growing rivalry between the two organizations, who have consistently battled for the top spots in the POP Esports Masters over the past few seasons.

A Grand Finale to a Great Season
Royal Family’s victory wraps up Season 6 of the PEM in style — a season marked by record-breaking Twitch viewership in Luxembourg, an electric atmosphere all day long, and an increasingly competitive League of Legends scene in the Grand Duchy.
A huge thank you to all the teams, the players, and of course, the fans, for making this edition one to remember. See you very soon for what’s next!
